1/10 Scale Electric Rally/Touring Car:
Schumacher Mission - K026 / K027
|
Introduced in October 2001, the Schumacher Mission was a straight forward, no nonsense, basic 1:10 Electric Touring Car, that propelled Schumacher back into the 21st century racing scene - well, it did around these parts anyways.
The belt driven redesign, still had the same ball differentials as previous Schumacher models, but the gearboxes were replaced by two side panels, secured to the top and bottom decks of the chassis. Personally, I thought that was a mistake by Schumacher, reducing the rigidity of the chassis and I found that after five or six races, the screws holding these panels would need checking for security.
Driving the Mission, with the right set-up, was predictable. Just point and squirt the trigger. Not a car for drifting in my opinion, but for the rounding style it was perfect.
To race the Schumacher Mission, it calls for fine tuning to attain better steering response and improve grip when cornering so you don't slide off the side of the track. Minute changes can make huge advancements. Our easy to understand list will show you how and lead you to the optimum Set-up to put you in front of the rest on the track.

Damper Pistons
When you first build your RC model, you will sometimes find that there are a number of different pistons in the kit, with varying numbers of holes or hole sizes in them. Generally, the manufacturer will suggest one particular piston in the car manual, and may provide you with a mid range oil weight, but depending on the type of terrain you intend to race your model, their suggestion may not be the best for your needs. |
