1/8 Scale Nitro Buggy:
Team Associated RC8B3.1 Team Kit - 80935
|
Released by Team Associated in 2017, the RC8B3.1 Team Nitro Buggy Kit - # 80935 - was designed and developed by the engineers of Area 51, to be the ultimate racing machine. A .21 class rear exhaust engine, exhaust system, starter box, steering and throttle servos, radio system, wheels and tires, had to be purchased separately.
The 4WD model is shaft driven, on an alloy plate chassis, with H.T.C. (High Torque Capacity) gear type differentials, coil spring over oil filled "Big Bore" dampers, CVA universal joint drive-shafts, anti-roll bars and a full set of ball bearings.
To get the best from the Team Associated RC8B3.1, it needs to be fine tuned, to provide precise steering response and improve grip when cornering, so you don't slide off the track. Small changes can make huge advancements and our easy to understand guide will help you to the optimum Set-up for your individual driving style.

Hints, Tips and Information
Choosing a Transmitter
When you first started in RC, you may have purchased a package that came with the car kit, motor, battery, charger, ESC and radio system complete. The transmitter was probably just a basic steer wheel, or stick type, with nothing more than forward, reverse, left, right and simple trim settings to centralise the servo and ESC. |
Hints, Tips and Information
Rubber Tires for RC Models
Rubber Tires ALWAYS should have either soft sponge or rubber inserts. They will not function as they should without them. And if you are totally serious about your racing they should be glued to the rims. How to Mount Rubber Tires onto Wheels/Rims.
Before mounting your Tires, I would recommend talking to the more experienced racers at your local club, concerning what inserts they use. Even the top level racers rely on a bit of local knowledge on tracks they have never raced before. |
