Introduced by Traxxas in 2013, the Slash VXL Short Course Truck - # 5807 - was updated with a TQi 2.4Ghz Radio System, with 5-Channel Link Micro Receiver, 7-Cell NiMh Battery and Charger, and came with four officially licensed Replica bodyshell options, namely - Mike Jenkins Edition (Traxxas #47), Mark Jenkins Edition (Traxxas #25) and Greg Adler Edition (4 Wheel Parts), all with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain Tires, and Scott Douglas Edition (Amsoil), with Kumho Road Venture MT Tires.

Factory assembled RTR, the model includes a VXL-3m ESC, Velineon 3500 Brushless Motor and Magnum 272 Transmission
The 2WD model is based on a molded fiber composite chassis, with a gear type differential, coil spring over oil filled dampers, universal joint drive-shafts, slipper clutch and a full set of ball bearings.
To get the best from the Traxxas Slash VXL, it needs to be fine tuned, to provide precise steering response and improve grip when cornering, so you don't slide off the track.
