Introduced by Traxxas in 2012, the Slash VXL Short Course Truck - # 5807L - was upgraded with a TQi 2.4Ghz Radio System, 5-Channel Link Micro Receiver, 4200Mah LiPo Battery and LiPo Balance Charger.
Factory assembled RTR, the model came with four officially licensed Replica bodyshell options, namely - Mike Jenkins Edition (Traxxas #47), Mark Jenkins Edition (Traxxas #25) or Greg Adler Edition (4 Wheel Parts), all with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain Tires, or Scott Douglas/Mike Oberg Edition (Amsoil), with Kumho Road Venture MT Tires, and also included a VXL-3m ESC, Velineon 3500 Brushless Motor and Magnum 272 Transmission.

The 2WD model is based on a molded fiber composite chassis, with a gear type differential, coil spring over oil filled dampers, universal joint drive-shafts, slipper clutch and a full set of ball bearings.
