1/10 Scale Nitro Touring Car:
Thunder Tiger TS-4n Sport V2 - BMW M3 GTR (2005) - 6166-F*
|
Introduced by Thunder Tiger in 2005, the BMW M3 GTR - TTR 6166-F23 - based on the TS4N Sport V2 Touring Car Chassis, designed and developed by Franco Sabbatinni, came factory assembled RTR, with a pre-painted lexan Bodyshell, a PRO-12BXS Pull-Start Engine and 2-Channel Radio System pre-installed. NOTE: The BMW M3 GTR was later released with a new paint job using the same 6166-F23 version number. In some countries, a TS4N Sport V2 SC (Super Combo) version of this model was also produced, with a number of added extras, including a Starter, Charger and Fuel.
PLEASE NOTE: An F* indicates that the Model code varies in different parts of the world. Any F number shown in this section is simply an example of an actual code number found for this model in my research.
For other Thunder Tiger TS4N models, check out our Thunder Tiger Archive.
The 4WD TT model is three belt driven, on a blue anodised 2.5mm alloy plate chassis, with molded plastic radio plate, gear type differentials, coil spring over oil filled alloy dampers, dogbone drive-shafts and bushings (ball bearings for USA version).
To get the best from the Thunder Tiger TS-4n, it needs to be fine tuned, to provide precise steering response and improve grip when cornering, so you don't slide off the track. Small changes can make huge advancements and our easy to understand guide will help you to the optimum Set-up for your individual driving style.

Hints, Tips and Information
Rubber Tires for RC Models
Rubber Tires ALWAYS should have either soft sponge or rubber inserts. They will not function as they should without them. And if you are totally serious about your racing they should be glued to the rims. How to Mount Rubber Tires onto Wheels/Rims.
Before mounting your Tires, I would recommend talking to the more experienced racers at your local club, concerning what inserts they use. Even the top level racers rely on a bit of local knowledge on tracks they have never raced before. |
Hints, Tips and Information
Maintain your Fuel System
Nitro engines need a regulated constant supply of fuel to run efficiently. If this supply is restricted or contaminated in any way, the engine will show problems in a number of ways. |
