Thunder-Tiger SSR - Peugeot 206 Rally - 6705-F*
|
Introduced by Thunder Tiger in 2001, the 4WD SSR Peugeot 206 Rally, was available 90% factory assembled ARTR (no Radio) - TTR 6705-F - or RTR (with a 27Mhz Radio System) - TTR 6705-F4. A pre-painted lexan polycarbonate Bodyshell and a PRO-15BX (P) Pull Start Engine were pre-installed for both versions.
A 2WD version of the SSR Peugeot 206 was also available - TLR 6709 F22G.
PLEASE NOTE: An F* indicates that the Model code varies in different parts of the world. Any F number shown in this section is simply an example of an actual code number found for this model in my research.
For other Thunder Tiger SSR models, check out our Thunder Tiger Archive.
The 4WD model is shaft driven (removed for the 2WD ver), on an alloy plate chassis, with gear type differentials, coil spring over oil filled dampers, two-speed transmission, rear dogbones and for the 4WD version, front universal joint drive-shafts and dogbone prop-shafts and a full set of ball bearings.
To race the TT SSR, it requires time and patience, to tune and adjust for improvements in handling and steering ability and to get the grip you need to stay on course when manoeuvring around tight, slippery corners. A little can be a lot when it comes to changing your cars settings and our easy methodical directions will guide you to the best Set-up to help you win and keep you winning.

Hints, Tips and Information
Ride Height
To allow the suspension on any RC model to do its work properly, it needs to ride in a position where it is able to react to any bumps and holes it may encounter on the track. Therefore, it needs to be adjusted to somewhere in-between those limits. That position is commonly termed "ground clearance" or "ride height" and is generally measured as the distance between the underside of the chassis and the ground, with the motor and battery etc installed. |

Rubber Tires for RC Models
Rubber Tires ALWAYS should have either soft sponge or rubber inserts. They will not function as they should without them. And if you are totally serious about your racing they should be glued to the rims. How to Mount Rubber Tires onto Wheels/Rims.
Before mounting your Tires, I would recommend talking to the more experienced racers at your local club, concerning what inserts they use. Even the top level racers rely on a bit of local knowledge on tracks they have never raced before. |
