1/8 Scale Nitro Rally/Touring Car:
Team Associated RC100
|
Introduced by Team Associated in 1975, the RC100 was the winner of numerous championship competitions, including the 1976 ROAR nationals and the first IFMAR world championships in 1977.
The 2WD kit required a little more work than modern day models, drilling and cutting the plate to install your engine and fuel tank. The alloy plate and pod Pan Car design, employed a fixed axle and a full set of ball bearings.
To race the Team Associated RC100, it must be fine tuned to improve handling, provide responsive steering and give you the grip to cruise around corners at high speed, without slipping off the track. Small adjustments can make a Big difference and our step by step procedure, will guide you to the best Set-up for your individual driving style.

Hints, Tips and Information
Toe Angle - for Steering and Straight Line Stability
When you first build your RC model car, you will no doubt have made all the settings advised in the manufacturers' manual and will take it out on the back yard not thinking of things like camber, caster or toe-in - I know I did. It's only when you get competitive that you start learning about these things and just what a big difference they can make to the handling of your car. One of the more effective of these adjustments is Toe-in. |

Hints, Tips and Information
Getting into RC
When I first got into racing RC, all I had was a three year old clapped out Tamiya Boomerang, a silver can stock motor, three step mechanical speed controller, two 1400Mah stick batteries and basic Acoms stick transmitter. |
